Some inspiring and motivational books that may interest you!
Our main way of supporting this site is through the sale of books, either physical copies or digital copies through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing.  We try to make them well worth reading, and pretty much all of the money that we earn through them comes back to the site in one way or another.  Here--in no particular order--are the books we have to offer you!

To give you a little bit of background, my doctorate is in Teaching and Learning--and I've spent the last 25 years learning all that I can about living life fully and being happy, and one of my goals with these books is to teach people many of the principles I've learned.  It doesn't matter if the book is a collection of essays, a novel, or a collection of short thought-provoking lines to jumpstart your own reflections--each of the books here was written with great care in order to present time-tested truths in ways that may help you to apply them to your own life.  Just as I try to design my classes to include more than the required curriculum and help students to reflect on their own lives, I tried to write books that are practical and useful, but still interesting and worth reading.

I've also done my best to keep the prices down as low as I can--they're not inexpensive on the Kindle because they're bad books; they're inexpensive because I feel grateful for all that I've learned and for the opportunity to share it.

Nogglz--A novel of terror sure to keep you turning the pages!  The residents of Canyon Bluff have been teasing their kids for years with stories of the Nogglz, the town's own version of the Bogeyman.  But now their worst fears are being realized when the Nogglz actually show up and start taking their revenge on the townspeople.  What would you do if your worst nightmare was suddenly roaming the streets of your town?  And what kind of important life lessons will the young law officers learn in a dying town filled with older people?  Click the image for the print version, or here for your Kindle.  To read more about the novel, click here.

When David agrees to give 70-year-old Hector a ride west, he can't imagine the lessons he'll learn about his life.  This novel explores the dynamics of dealing with prejudice from two different perspectives, in two different eras.

Read Chapter One

"Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers," wrote Wordsworth over 150 years ago.  And we're still doing the same. How can we stop wasting the power that we've been given?  And just what is power?  Are we defining it accurately?
